Thank you for dropping by. I hope this website will be helpful in telling you something about the life of the Blessed Mary, its congregation, groups and activities. In our church family, we seek to encourage each other in our knowing and living for Jesus Christ, no matter what our age or preferences in worship style. Joining a church can be daunting at first, but I hope that you will soon find yourself at home and make friends.

Sunday Morning Services 11am
You are warmly welcome to all any of our village services which are all followed by refreshments and a time for conversation:
1st and 3rd Sundays – Communion Service
On the 1st and 3rd Sunday’s of the month is our ‘choir’ led communion service. The service is ‘classical’ in style and accessible to both those who are new as well as those who have been coming for a long time.
2nd Sunday – Family Service ‘Sunday Funday’
On the 2nd Sunday of the month is our ‘Sunday Funday’. From 10-11am we have family activities with refreshments and something to eat! This is then followed by a short Sunday Focus from 11-11:30am. The time is ‘informal’ in style with opportunity to contribute and interact with each other.
4th Sunday – Informal Service
On the 4th Sunday of the month is our ‘band led’ contemporary service. The service is also more ‘informal’ with more modern worship songs and style of prayers and other parts.
5th Sunday – Matins
On 5th Sundays of the month (3 times a year) we hold a BCP Matins service. This service is more ‘traditional’ in style led by our choir.
Sunday Evening Services 6:30pm
2nd Sunday – Said Evensong
On 2nd Sundays of the month we hold a simple BCP Evensong service.
4th Sunday – Sung Evensong
On 4th Sundays of the month we hold a full sung BCP Evensong service led by a combined choir from Blessed Mary, St Peter’s and other churches. From May to Sep the service is held at Blessed Mary and Oct to Apr at St Peter’s. In Dec there is an Advent Carol service at St Peter’s.
Summer Sundays – Compline
On some summers Sundays we hold periodic Compline services at Preshaw Chapel.
Midweek Services
Mondays 8:30pm – Morning Prayer

Wednesday at 10am
Our midweek home communion group meets in different homes on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays. On the 4th Sunday the service is held via zoom. If you would like to join in please contact Revd Jane Beloe janiebeloe@gmail.com or 01489 860452.
