PUBLIC CONSULTATION: Have your say on the future structure of local government in Hampshire

A Consultation on the future shape of local government across Hampshire is currently underway with everyone who lives or works in Hampshire urged to influence future proposals by having their say:  www.hants.gov.uk/servinghampshire.

Serving Hampshire is about finding the best way to sustain public services, and secure an ambitious devolution deal from Government for Hampshire’s towns, cities and villages – with the voices of residents at the heart of any proposals.

The Consultation concerns the county of Hampshire – the area covered by Hampshire County Council and the 11 District Councils in Hampshire.  Members of the public are invited to answer questions on a number of options involving proposals to create combined authorities, elected mayors and unitary councils, as well as the status quo.

Full details about the Serving Hampshire Consultation are available online at www.hants.gov.uk/servinghampshire and set out in the enclosed Information Pack.

Please use the online Response Form to give us your views and comments.

Alternatively, you can request a paper copy by emailing servinghampshire@ipsos-mori.com or by calling 0808-2024-970.

The Consultation closes at 23.59 on 20th September, 2016.

The Consultation is being undertaken by independent market research company, Ipsos Mori.
