Join the campaign for faster broadband in Upham!

Hampshire County Council and its commercial partners have been allocated government funding to help bring faster broadband to parts of Hampshire that have poor internet access. That could include Upham, if we show we are keen enough.

Evidence of high demand will be needed to encourage the commercial companies to invest in the network infrastructure. It will also help Hampshire’s available funding go further, ensuring that faster broadband reaches more people.

Durley is an old and small exchange. We need to act now to ensure that it gets upgraded. If you think your broadband speed is OK now, it won’t be in 3 years time. We also need to see our aging copper cables replaced with shiny new fibre optic.

Please help get Upham up to speed by registering your support. Please note, registering demand does not commit you to sign up to any new service.

  • You can register your support online at www.hants.gov.uk/broadband-signup. Its very simple and quick to do.
  • You can call the Hampshire Broadband signup campaign with your details on 0845 603 5638

The Village website

At present only the Parish Council site is active, but the village website is there to be viewed. Lots more is planned and we hope that once it starts running (soon!) it will grow to provide history, general information and news about what is going on in the village. We would like to know your ideas about what you would like to see on it. Please send them to feedback@uphamvillage.org.uk.
