Parishioners will be delighted to know that Jane Beloe, assistant priest at Blessed Mary, Upham and St Peter’s Church, Bishops Waltham was awarded a Mayor of Winchester’s Community Award by last year’s Mayor, Cllr Barry Lipscomb. This was in recognition and appreciation of Jane’s unstinting service to the community.
Jane came to Upham with Simon, her husband, and family in 1981 and settled in Popes Lane. Both she and Simon have been very involved in the Church and Village Life since then. She was ordained a Deacon in 2004 and is currently assistant priest for both parishes.
